Dark Matter ends after abrupt ending

Dark Matter, a game recently released on Steam for $15 has been flagged for a completely abrupt ending. According to the developers, the game originally was supposed to last around 14 hours, but was cut to around 4 due to the Kickstarter for the game failing, as well as a complete lack of funding in general. While the game was praised, the shortcomings with the ending may effect its lifetime on Steam.

It's likely that the developers had their best intentions, but they could have easily did one of two things:

A) Label the game as Early Access on Steam

or

B) Make another Kickstarter

They, however, did neither. If they said the game was a work in progress all would be good, but unfortunately they didn't, and there's going to be one hell of a backlash.

(In completely unrelated news, we're 53 away from 1k views! Better make that special edition soon...)
